Desktop Support/Installations: Configured various departmental laptops for use with the New Smart Lab technology. Trained teaching staff to utilize the new control center that could select for several applications such as DVD, VCR, and laptop lesson projection through an overhead Sony projector within the lab setting. Maintenance of smart lab technology, repair of overhead data projectors and video conferencing. Lab installation included conduit/pulling Ethernet cable to AV cabinet for CD/VHS and Laptop jacks.

Server/Desktop support – Supported over 200 windows 2000 and windows XP professional, fixed and wireless workstations. Utilized Microsoft Access to create a database for workstation rotation and existing equipment parts on hand. New workstations were configured and added to the Servers Active Directory with a secure logon. Existing hardware had a recent Bios upgrade, new installation of windows 7 operating system and all departmental software applications. Employees were supported for Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint and as well as other software on a case by case basis. In addition, Smart Phones were configured for employee departmental use.

Desktop/Server Support: 32 Windows XP workstations – 6 Kiosks running Lawpac, a research specific law application. Software upgrades – Thunderbird, Eudora, Outlook, Excel, Access, and FrontPage. Oversaw implementation of Norton enterprise anti-virus for each workstation and 6 Kiosks. Utilized WSUS for Microsoft updates from the CU Server. Extensive hardware repair and bios upgrades for existing workstations and configuration per rotated units on a 3 year cycle.
