High Voltage Electrician (Pentagon)
Current- Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs high voltage electrical generating equipment and associated controls in the Pentagon Heating and Refrigeration Plan- Maintain the servicing, switching and repair of all electrical equipment including two generators, up to 3,000 horsepower motors, control circuits, feeder and branch circuits, signal devices, and other components associated with Plant operations- Responsible for the weekly testing of two generators located in North part of Pentagon (OSLS and NSLS Lift Stations): OSLS - Lift station generator is a Cummins Diesel - 100 kw, 480 v - 277v, field capacity 240 gallons. NSLS - Lift station generator is a Kato Light Diesel – 220 kw, 480v – 277 v, field capacity 800 gallons.- Knowledge of specialized safety equipment, personal protective equipment, techniques, safe work and lock out/tag out procedures.- Ability to perform troubleshooting techniques on primary and secondary electrical distribution system.- Able to interpret wiring, logic and control diagrams and able to apply appropriate techniques and methods for effective maintenance, repair and testing.- High knowledge and understanding of the primary distribution system of the facility, including normal routing, parallel feeders, possible interconnections and capacity of feeder circuits and equipment. Able to make emergency hook-ups and restore power after outages
