Since 2013, he and wife, Jess, have produced two DVD videos showcasing their dogs hunting in diverse conditions. Other accomplishments include writing several popular articles on the topic and introducing countless new people from various backgrounds across the country to hunting. The program has produced multiple Squirrel Champions. The dogs were featured in a 2017 Missouri Conservationist magazine article written by the Missouri Small Game Biologist, David Hoover. In 2018, Gray released the first book published on the topic in nearly 20 years: The Mountain Feist. Owns and operates the National Butterfly Center (NBC) in Mission, Texas. The NBC is the best place in the United States to see and learn about butterflies (as many as 200,000 individual butterflies of 100 species have been seen at the NBC in a single day and the total number of species seen at the NBC is currently exceeding 230). NABA conducts monitoring programs, including the 4th of July Butterfly Counts, that has amassed the largest database of butterfly occurrences in the world. The organization helps to educate the public about the importance of butterflies and their conservation through the publication of two outstanding magazines, American Butterflies and Butterfly Gardener.
