Executive Director, Capital Finance & Real Estate
Oversight of 22,000 acres of real estate and 7 million square feet of space with an executive leadership role in planning, organizing, and directing real estate development and management operations for the UC campus.• Essential functions include asset management, space planning, faculty and staff housing, mortgage orientation program, and foundation real property gift receivership.• Capital finance duties include strategic financial planning and budgeting for campus construction projects, requiring oversight of project accounting, scheduling, public works contract administration and economic development.• Collaborative efforts entailed working closely with 6 distinct administrative divisions, academic leaders, as well as joint venture opportunities with third party developers.• Master planning within department involved campus master planning, building and code permit services, inspections, and state level environmental approvals.• Facilitative leadership of 150 leases and supervision of 12 FTEs, both represented and non-represented staff.• Acquisition of real Property for housing of UC system wide (10 campuses) consolidation programs.• Execution of Public Private Partnerships for new construction and financing for the campus; projects include multi-use sports facility (5,000 seats), clinical facilities for Health Science and Medical programs, 3.5M Watt Solar Farm, and campus bookstore.
