Seed CX was founded out of research at MIT’s Center for Finance and Policy. The founders of Seed CX are Brian Liston and Edward Woodford. As an exchange, Seed CX operates in sectors where there is little access to finance due to regulatory friction and ambiguity. Seed CX will be the first federally compliant and approved exchange to list cannabis derivatives, allowing market participants to hedge risk as well as opening a new commodity market to institutional investors.
