If there’s one thing to know about me, know this: When I set my mind to learning something new, I really go all in. Examples: • I carefully studied great photographers like Arnold Newman and started my career as a salaried portrait photographer when people thought my photojournalism degree would get me nowhere• When photography no longer brought me joy, I became the agency’s design director and garnered more awards under my leadership• After my father-in-law died of a heart attack, I picked up running with my dog 3x/week• But I fractured my hip in the first year, so I implemented strength and conditioning work, also 3x/week. Still going strong with my same Nike trainer• Taught myself infographic design to better understand a coworker’s job• I bake fancy braided bread (ask me for my personal Turkish coffee bun recipe). So yes, I became one of those pandemic sourdough starter freaks• Redefined a company’s culture and brand ecosystem when it no longer served us• Grew Swiss chard in my backyard bigger than Martha Stewart’s• Fermented my own garden peppers for hot sauce and made my own alcohols • Taught myself Webflow for an updated portfolio website when it was time to graduate from SquarespaceCurrently on tap:• This past fall I finally mastered a headstand in my yoga practice.
