- Responsible for the integrity and stewardship of data related to BlackRock’s Retail Defined Contribution team.- Manage 25 record-keeper relationships to assure consistency of the quality of 40 external Defined Contribution sales reports.- Work with various internal teams such as Technology and Data Engineering to create a sustainable / scalable process to automate these sales reports with our external data management vendor, DST. DST will then cleanse / harmonize to consume in a digestible manner into BlackRock’s CRM. - Partner with the Defined Contribution Relationship Management Team and COO Team to solicit and on-board reporting from new record-keepers.- Subject matter expert on Defined Contribution trading arrangements with various platforms, record-keepers, third party administrators.- Educate and train team on the nuances of Defined Contribution sales data while leveraging their skills to enrich / tag data properly. - Responsible to train and guide the Client Data Operations team on how to properly address and resolve Defined Contribution trade inquiries from Sales Team with the objective on increasing Financial Advisor transparency.

This division is responsible for open end mutual funds, bundled separately managed wrap accounts and alternative investments to major wirehouses, independent broker dealers and select financial intermediaries. Responsibilities include:- Create business/territory metrics for sales force, divisional sales managers and channel head to manage business effectively and identify areas for growth.- Evaluate wholesaler activity versus sales production.- Manage wholesaler commission process. Create pro forma models to evaluate enhancements or other changes made to the commission plan.- Created T&E dashboards so that there is an ongoing awareness of wholesaler expense activity.- Provide Key Account Relationship Managers with profitability pro forma’s and various reports that enable them to better understand the dynamics of our clients.- Prepare industry analytics using data from Strategic Insight and Morningstar for mutual fund board reports and Third Party management team.- Coordinate and oversee revenue sharing payments to financial intermediaries. Ensure that payments are accurate and in accordance with executed agreements.- Developed controls and manage the process for incoming management fees earned on the divisions bundled separately managed wrap accounts.

Serve as Vice President and Officer of $30 billion in assets for the AllianceBernstein money market mutual funds. Introduced and converted the department to the dynamics of spreadsheet management. This innovation greatly enhanced business management efficiencies while elevating the division’s professionalism. Responsible for the overall financial aspects of the sales and marketing group.Selected Accomplishments and Contributions:- Developed and implemented techniques to effectively manage P&L. As a result, better cost controls evolved.- Devised a model for preparing and managing department’s annual budget. This model provides our planning department and money fund accounting group with monthly fund-by-fund cash flows.- Responsible for monthly disbursements of $16 million to financial intermediaries who provide the AllianceBernstein money market funds to their clients. Created an intricate allocation spreadsheet that effectively manages and communicates these expenses withing the company.- Created a client profitability report that illustrates, in detail, attributable revenues and expenses for over 50 clients/financial intermediaries. This management tool also reports cost of sales, return on assets and profit margins.- Responsible for calculating individual sales commissions. Developed a two tier commission system that tracks a salesman’s monthly attributable organic assets and new business assets.- Identify and pursue operational inefficiencies that have let to significant cost savings thus improving the bottom line. Some initiatives yielded benefits exceeding $1 million.- Developed and managed the division’s print marketing budget. Distribute reports that itemize all client print jobs. Summaries are prepared and compared to aggregated costs to pre-established budgets. This tool controls spending and guides the marketing representative to manage more efficiently.
