CurrentProvide litigation support in defense of employment matters before the U.S. Federal District Court Northern District of Florida, United States Equal Opportunity Commission, Leon County Circuit Court, Florida Commission on Human Relations, Florida Public Employee Relations Commission, Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and labor union disputes in arbitration in a deadline-driven, collaborative, professional environment. Research, review, gather and analyze laws, statutes, bills, codes, legislative histories, ordinances, rules, policies, dockets, agendas, minutes, meeting records, transcripts, case law, Westlaw, internal and external databases, files, government agency sites and databases, land ownership and title history, GIS-mapping data, corporate information, criminal histories, personal backgrounds, social media, etc. to source and distill relevant information and evidence. Serve as a liaison amongst city departments, managers, directors and staff, witnesses, attorneys, law firms, courts, state and local government entities, and the public. Interview and solicit information from the public, witnesses, staff, and other gatekeepers of information. Proof, draft, and correspond via emails, letters, requests, responses, pleadings, affidavits, and other documents using business and technical writing ability. Problem-solve, process map, and assist attorneys and staff with applications, equipment, computer, and other issues to reduce delay in workflow.
