I got into the cyber security industry because I'm wired that way - it comes naturally to me and makes sense to me. I understand the strategies - and the associated policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. I love that kind of challenge!Twenty-five+ years professional experience providing Subject Matter Expertise in OT/ICS Cyber Security including expertise in regulatory cyber security and the Tenable.ot platform. Experience includes support for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Cyber Security Branch of the Nuclear Security and Incident Response Division in the implementation of the NRC's cyber regulatory security program for nuclear facilities, developing and teaching the Advanced Cyber Security training course for inspectors and providing contractor support for regulatory cyber security inspections of nuclear power plants. Experience included efforts to seek alignment on various issues with industry and performing as a key contributor to several NRC guidance documents. Mr. Johns serves as a lead analyst in Classification and Assessment, Periodic Cyber Security Control Requirements, Supply Chain, Configuration Management, Defense In Depth, Ongoing Monitoring and Assessments, Alternate Controls, Vulnerability Management, PMMD, and Effectiveness Analysis as well as other topics of current interest. Subsequent to the NRC role, Mr. Johns served as the Tenable.ot team lead subject matter expert in Tenable's Professional Services division, guiding over 90% of new Tenable.ot deployments and providing training for Tenable.ot customers, as well as guidance on tuning and directing customers on how to achieve maximum value from their investment in Tenable.ot. This experience included environments including energy generation and distribution, weapons and munitions production, oil & gas (upstream, midstream and downstream), transportation, auto manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, highway systems, water and waste water treatment,
