Contractor for SPAWAR systems Center Charleston Naval Engineering facility as a Systemadministrator for both the RDT&E unclass and class networks. Responsibilities includedconfiguration, administration, maintenance, user accounts, and setup and troubleshooting ofWindows 2003 and 2008 servers in an AD2003 domain, limiting groups/trusts/shares to leastprivileged, up-date server software/OS patches, and maintain server virus-scanning software. Amajority of those servers are Virtual in a VMWare VSphere 4 Enterprise farm. The VMenvironment consists of both high-end Dell Poweredge servers and Dell’s M1000 blade serverconnected to an EqualLogic PS6000 SAN through PowerConnect switches. Recently upgradedone VM farm to vSphere 5 including migrating the existing esx 4.1 servers over to ESXi 5.0.
