Growing up as the only child some may think I enjoyed the perks at home, like not having to share or not good at managing conflict. For me it was quite the opposite. Because I was the only child, I had to use relationships-building skills to connect. Relationship-building skills for me were a combination of soft skills that I used to connect with others and form positive relationships. This has also been my recipe in the workplace.
