Aa Development Program For Technology (Adept)
ADEPT Program OverviewAA Development Program for Technology (ADEPT) is a college recruiting program created to develop a technical talent pipeline for Information Technology Services (ITS). The program was developed to promote leadership skills and to expose the recruits to the diverse opportunities American Airlines has to offer. It was started in the fall of 2006 with the first group of ADEPT recruits starting in the summer of 2007.ADEPT is a two-year development program and the recruits are hired as full time employees, not interns. During the first year of the program, the ADEPT member participates in orientation, ADEPT activities, and training while assigned to an ITS department. After the completion of their first year, the ADEPT member is rotated into a new department, with a commitment to stay in the second department for at least a year. After the second year, ADEPT members have officially completed the program.
