I was elected to represent the ten thousand students at Lancaster University at the end of the third year of my undergraduate degree. I was responsible for representing students to the University governing body and also nationally whilst developing a clear strategy for the organisation. As the face of the Union and legal trustee I dealt with the media and was responsible for governance and the Union’s finances of £3 million.
