I have taught courses like Oral Spanish and Spanish Composition and a variety of different courses like Cultural Analysis, Reading Hispanic Texts, IHLIP (Spanish for the Community), and all levels of Basic Spanish. Within the last year I had the opportunity to teach courses on special topics on literature and cultures in Latin America. I am currently part of the Teaching for Excellence List.

Supervised library staff of 40 members. Developed assessment materials for library services evaluation, acquisitions and Instructional modules. Developed and organized library automation processes. Led different work groups for MSA (Middle States Association) accreditation and for the Council of Higher Education of Puerto Rico. Administration of library budget for 600,000 USD yearly. Developed federal and private proposals for special library projects. Worked with the design and development of the first library Consortia in the Metropolitan area of Puerto Rico with Title V Proposal. Developed virtual library resources and databases evaluation guidelines to integrate digital resources to our virtual library. Reshaped and redesigned library spaces and its different areas of study. Developed and revised Guidelines for Cataloging, Automation, Acquisition policies, Inter library loans and Special Collection management. Collaboration with publications of some Special Collections. Developed special proposals for the digitization of this area. Worked with Rare Books and Archives. I was elected as Vice president of COBIMET (Metropolitan Consortium of Libraries). Belonged to Council of Higher Education Evaluation Committees for different academic libraries in Puerto Rico. Developed instructional modules for information literacy. Developed the library webpage with the OPAC (Online Catalog) and Bibliographic information modules with a library newsletter. Organized library week celebration activities, new books and author presentations, and coordinated academic activities with different academic departments. Developed statistical and special presentations for Accreditation Agencies. Created teamwork groups between librarians and faculty to update academic resources. Established virtual librarian 24/7 as part of our library services. Created an electronic reserve for faculty. Developed Instructional Modules for Library references and online support.
