Wilbur enjoys writing and being a self-published author. He has several ongoing projects. Wilbur's script, Payback, (a psychological thriller) being one of them. He is also working on his vampire novels. Meantime, when his schedule permits, he does some copywriting to help pay the bills.He writes flash fiction every day and prefers dark stories. Many of his stories are psychological thrillers (such as Payback) along with the more traditional horror stories.Wilbur had a speech impediment when he was a kid. This put a target on his back for the bullies. It got so bad that he stopped talking. He wrote notes to his teacher and friends, and even at home. The written word gave him comfort and security. Combine this with his love of comic books and he knew what he wanted to do with his life--to be a writer. His father was a lifer in the Air Force and Wilbur joined the army at the ripe young age of 17 and served for six years, so the first 23 years of his life was military. He traveled extensively overseas, from Europe to the Orient and Southeast Asia. Wilbur draws on the memories and uses all his senses to help bring a memory of a scene, person, or situation. This is a great reservoir that he has used many times for inspiration, or just to pull an elusive element into his story.Wilbur has been writing stories since he was a kid. When, later in life, with his kids grown and on their own, he managed to make serious time for his writing. When he started sending the manilla envelopes out (no internet back then), his first two stories (high fantasy) were accepted, and the checks were in the mail. However, that was misleading.After some of the slips had suggested a rewrite and resubmission to include writing credentials, Wilbur realized he needed to get the education to go with his writing experience. He chose Full Sail University.
