  During lockdown I got a loan and renovated my Edinburgh apartment. Although it took longer than I expected it was most satisfying doing physical work, and coordinating tradesmen -- and now the flat is ready for high-end rental over the next 20-30 years. As a result, I had a very good year last year (2020) in that I was busy, productive and learning new (building) skills.
