Coming from what feels like a lifetime in customer service, I’ve learned a few things: 1) The client is always right.2) Great relationships are built on trust, honesty, and open communication. 3) People want to feel valued. It wasn’t until I joined T. Rowe Price that I realized my core values aligned with the values of our founder, Thomas Rowe Price, Jr. I truly believe–as he did–that if we act with integrity and accountability, we will always have the client’s best interest at heart. If we stay curious and innovative, we will always seek the best solutions for the client through our thoughts and ideas. And if we pursue excellence with passion and humility, we will not only achieve more for the clients but for ourselves as well. I have been fortunate in my career to focus on two of my passions, college savings and financial security–specifically, how financial wellness is vital for a healthy and successful life. However, during my time here, I have realized that many people do not have the knowledge or tools necessary to prepare for a successful financial future. How can we solve for this? I believe social media marketing can help power this change. If used right, we can reach people of many backgrounds and experience to help teach the fundamentals and importance of financial wellness. And what better way to reach people than with people? In my previous position, I had the pleasure of helping our employees use their social media accounts to bring awareness, educate, and engage with their clients and prospects. In my current position, I use social advertising to help serve financial advisors. Our content offers insights, tools, and resources to help not only advisors feel confident, but also their clients. This all is achieved by collaborating with our business partners and agencies to develop strategic marketing plans, create engaging and timely content, looking to continually evolve our programs, and so much more. I'll leave you with this (slightly reformed) quote by JFK that I try to honor, “Ask not what your client can do for you, ask what you can do for your client”.
