Wolfgang’s passion is the fascinating world of fungi and their ways of interaction with all members of the ecosystems they shape. To share this fascination and make the powerful properties of fungi available for sustainable business models, he founded, together with René Lux the company MyPilz → www.mypilz.euHis research focuses on the interactions of fungi with plants, other fungi, and the abiotic environment. He holds a doctorate degree in fungal biotechnology from the Technical University of Vienna and a master’s degree in botany of the University of Vienna. Wolfgang worked for four years at the Center for Health & Bioresources of the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology in the group of Monika Schmoll.
