Dr. Wolfram Prusko is a partner at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in the Restructuring group, having established Willkie‘s German restructuring practice in 2021. His practice is focused on the representation of investors, debtors and creditors with respect to cross-border acquisitions, restructurings — particularly financial and bond restructurings — and insolvency proceedings. Wolfram is experienced in real estate and international bank restructuring. Wolfram worked on a number of landmark international cases in the recent years in Germany and Central Europe, which include the comprehensive restructuring of the Croatian food conglomerate Agrokor (transformed into Fortenova), the resolution of the Austrian bad bank HETA Asset Resolution (f/k/a Hypo Alpe Adria Bank) and financial restructuring of the German real estate group IVG Immobilien. Earlier in his professional career, Wolfram worked for the insolvency department of the Germany Federal Ministry of Justice as well as for international law firms in New York and Munich. Wolfram was admitted to the German bar in 2008. He is a law graduate of the Julius-Maximilian-University of Wuerzburg, with studies at the Charles-University of Prague under scholarship of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). He holds a doctorate degree in insolvency and corporate law of the Ludwig-Maximilian-University of Munich, graded summa cum laude and awarded with the faculty award. Wolfram is alumnus of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes). IFLR1000 recognized Wolfram in its Financial and Corporate Guide as a ‘highly regarded’ lawyer for Restructuring (since 2018). Legal500 recognized Wolfram as a “Leading Name“ for Restructuring in its Germany guides (since 2022/23). Wolfram is winner of the 2019 TMA Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Award for the ‘International Company Turnaround of the Year – Agrokor d.d.'
