About Chris Woller

Functional machine safety is a complex topic. I help our customers understand where Beckhoff fits in the world of functional safety. My role also involves empowering our sales and engineering teams to speak confidently about functional safety.I started my career in the entertainment industry building machinery for theater, television, and industrial shows. From giant stage elevators to studio hoists arrays and emergency lighting transfer boxes, the machinery was large and diverse. (Any ideas where I got my start in machine safety?)Eventually, I discovered my true passion was in the capabilities of the products themselves. I love helping companies uncover the value of automation regardless of industry. I’ve been on the product side of the world ever since.
