Metal Machining, Sheetmetal fabrication, Castings, Plastic Moulding/Machining, Rubber moulding etc. Manage Sourcing strategy, overall ownership to drive on cost reduction via negotiations, alternate sourcing, VAVE, supplier consolidations. Lead up cross-functional team between Flex and Customers, plan and drive execution of all procurement and sourcing activities. Interface with customer on design review/ECN/Part changes & provide resolutions on all technical issues. Provide DFM and DFX support to Product Development team for manufacturability issues, quality, cost effectiveness and manage defect resolution. Provide part and tool cost assessment during NPI, ECN phase. Metrology management, review FAI, CP/CPK report. AOS Management during build phase and initial production phase. Liaise with suppliers and IQA/Engineering for First Article Approval. Supporting the Advanced Incubation Centre on new start-ups products.

Lead 4 direct/indirect procurement groups with 14 buyers, namely Fabrication & Vetronics (Strategic Sourcing Groups), Engineering R & D purchases and Indirect Material Group. SCM Project Lead for the Spares Sales Program for UK Ministry Of Defence. Source, evaluate local/overseas vendors on the supply of material and services required for the program. Participate on quality non-conformance and corrective action on related problem with Quality Department. Manage and co-ordinate with Vendor through Contract Management to ensure parts are deliver on time to meet production schedule. Manage the full spectrum of procurement activities and operations - from sourcing, request for quotation, negotiation, award, scheduling, process PO, arrange for shipment, follow up on orders, delivery control and expediting the materials to ensure on-time delivery to support production. Ensure Buyers comply to the company guidelines on RFQ process. Review and approve PO according to Company’s corporate governances. Assist and work closely with Designers in sourcing and selecting and sizing up hardware specification during design and prototyping stage. Plan and make tactical buying decisions and execute purchasing strategies to get overall reasonable material price. Contracts drafting, negotiation and administration.
