What started out as a travel blog (www.theweekendabroad.com) has transformed into travel and food content at www.instagram.com/_emwong_ where I share my adventures in good eats and affordable vacations. I work with small local restaurants to larger brands to help tell their stories and promote their newest launches. Clients include: OMNI Hotels, Autograph Collection Hotels, Klean Kanteen, Visit Berkeley, and Visit Morgan Hill to name a few. Additionally, I manage social media strategy and growth for restaurants and local brands (including those in the real estate, fashion, and fitness space). I specialize in creating your brand look & feel, executing a thoughtfully curated social media feed, and bringing in content creators to spread the word about your business.

I manage marketing, events, content strategy, and partnerships for Yelp's third largest market in North America, which I was able to maintain as the most engaged community in 2020 during the pandemic, and still continue to maintain as one of the top active and engaged communities. Helped a team of 30+ realtors sell 70+ properties per year by juggling the creation of effective marketing materials, property websites, email marketing, and social media. Select accomplishments: • Grew @abioproperties' Instagram handle by 300% by spearheading social media strategy and paid ads across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.• Completely expanded the brand's email marketing strategy to include robust weekly and monthly newsletters to 1,500+ readers per email • Contributed to the design and UX/UI of Abio's new webpages, and implemented the build out of each residential property’s website.

I provided high level customer service at special events around the San Francisco Bay Area, which included industry events at Google and Charles Schwab.

Working for a small and scrappy startup, I helped shape Underclub's brand and voice. I built our Influencer Brand and Partnership Program from the ground up, and crafted copy for press, our blog, and social media.Select accomplishments: • Onboarded and collaborated with 5+ influencers per month to target our key demographics on social media.• Produced our first #FemaleFounders series through email marketing and our blog, which featured weekly interviews from inspirational entrepreneurs. One of the campaign emails spurred our highest open rate at 70% (the industry average is 18%). The series produced increased conversions and forged two new partnerships when non-featured founders reached out to me after seeing the campaign.

• Administered digital event management and registration of our events via Cvent (events include mass participation networking functions, Alumni Conference, Reunion Weekend, etc.) • Managed signage sourcing and development, weekly tracking reports/metrics, email marketing, pre-event and post-event survey execution, on-site registration, and coordinated a group of student workers to ensure the success of our events

• Managed numerous volunteers and the logistics of British Columbia's largest urban park's annual Stanley Park Ghost Train and Bright Nights at Stanley Park events • Supported the company's galas, fundraisers, and conferences, which included, but were not limited to corresponding with VIPs, registration/check-in, auction management, and managing logistics from start to finish

• Promoted the 25th Vancouver Queer Film Festival by corresponding with sponsors and vendors, tracking distribution materials, and coordinating a Street Team to deliver marketing initiatives at local events• Point of contact for the festival’s VIPs and attendees • Produced the festival’s social media campaigns and edited its website and monthly subscription emails to engage our followers/#festies

• Contributed to the development of the mass participation event, Bust a Move for Breast Health, which included securing talent, volunteer coordination, registration and re-registration, sponsorship correspondence, technical backend projects, and event setup and teardown • Brainstormed and implemented marketing initiatives, including social media proposals and advertising at trade shows and conventions to promote events and increase registration

• Organized activities and tended to 25 children (aged 2-4 years) and 80 children (aged 5-10 years) in order to achieve a fun and safe environment • Organized and cleaned the kitchen, arts area, sleeping room, and open play areas in the daycare

• Promoted and informed residents and tourists throughout downtown Vancouver about the Official 2010 Vancouver Olympics Merchandise Store • Distributed cards with information about the Olympic Store to generate website traffic and sales
