I was the Normal Technical Subject Coordinator for 2 years where I organised and created resources for students according to the new syllabus. I am a critical thinker and I am always in search of new and better ways to improve teaching and learning.As a form teacher of Normal Technical and Normal Academic classes, I am adept at classroom management to ensure a positive learning environment (I don't scold students all the time, I strive to get them interested to listen, understand, and to learn). I have effectively managed administrative duties, behavioural issues of students as well as engaged parents on education of their child.As a member of the Discipline Committee, I proactively managed many disciplinary cases, garnered support from colleagues and engaged key stakeholders. I also took initiative in handling administrative duties to close the gaps in processes.As a teacher officer of the National Cadet Corps with no background in National Service and uniformed groups, I quickly adapted knowledge and skills picked up from the NCC Teacher Officer Course. I drew up training plans and facilitated activities for cadets to hone their leadership skills.
