In its first two years, Ecosystem Restoration Camps California hosted ecological service-learning camping events for 400+ participants, coordinating 7,500+ volunteer hours for ecological restoration work. Our partners and projects were featured in Business Insider, The Sacramento Bee, YES! Magazine, and Chico News & Review. In these two years I helped build a statewide network of dedicated volunteers, members, and donors by directing and producing communications and public events, coordinating outreach, advising land managers, and co-designing retreats for key stakeholders to develop the organization's strategy, programs, structure, and governance.We successfully crowdfunded a mobile kitchen, surpassing our $12K goal and raising $15K with a peer-to-peer volunteer-led campaign that I produced and directed. We also raised $13K for a post-fire remediation and community education project to install mycowattles to capture toxic runoff before it made its way to watersheds.
