I was able to apply what I have learnt throughout the course and work on the feedback that I have received. It was a privilege to guide both first-year students and MO students through their practical education, advising them through scenarios and steering them through their leadership journey. After 10 weeks, I was given the opportunity to lead the student assistant team in the department. I was given the task of hiring, scheduling and training the team. Using Microsoft Team's Shift application, I transformed the team's communication and scheduling tools into a digital format. Furthermore, I was able to speak with the colleagues to provide feedback and receive feedback on myself, the team dynamic and the operations. For the 1st month, I was assigned to the Brasserie and Lounge team. I have completed breakfast and lunch services. Afterwards, I was assigned to TAIKO; the hotel's fine dining restaurant created by chef Schilo van Coevorden. I was given charge of the food pass, sections that consisted of average 5-6 tables each. I was also given the opportunity to assist our sommelier and Maître D'Hôtel with providing guests with wine suggestions and other duties of a sommelier.
