This involves infrastructure, performance enhancements and translating features/business logic into functioning software components.• Text search engineI was responsible for setting up the infrastructure for the new engine which the team adapted and took the advantage of NoSQL technology which is highly scalable and more tailored to the requirements serving customers accurately in a much faster experience compared to the relation database engine.• Server topology and software deploymentsIn order to move fast, the organization needs to have a tool to orchestrate servers and deployments. I was originally involved in desgining and implementing an administrative solution to control all the deployments to production which needs to be highly scalable while maintaining high level of data consistency.• System integration with PricelineIn 2017, I had an oppurtunity to work in the U.S. with Priceline.com (a sister company which is also part of Booking Holdings Inc.) for 5 months. Integrating systems from both companies, enabling smoother data sharing and transition between shared components.All of the above include:• Design review• Health check, measurements and monitoring• Solving capacity and performance issues• Handling operation issues• Testing locally and CI before deploying to production
