My responsibilities included reviewing patient health insurance, billing disputes, assisting in arranging, and attending, appointments with physicians; assisting patients with challenges in the workplace created by medical conditions; counseling patients to reflect on the medical challenges that the patient may experience; assisting in planning for in-home nursing and rehabilitative care; assistance in finding specialists and a primary care physician as needed; coaching in how and when to communicate with a physician.

Employment law, primarily individual employment rights including FMLA and overtime matters, as well as qui tam actions.

Clinical Instructor. Supervised law students who assisted in representing employment law clients in court and at trial: provided individualized instruction in interviewing, drafting of pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, trial practice, counseling and negotiations, and legal practice management. Taught Interviewing and Counseling Course and supervised Advice Desk at Richard J. Daley Civic Center.
