To that end:• Through observation of everyday activities (actions speak louder than words) at all levels of an organization, I ferret out what behaviors are limiting the success you must achieve. I go where the people do the work. Change control, project status, testing, analysis meetings, executive briefings, implementation efforts, problem resolution discussions, postmortems, etc., anywhere where the words should be accurately reflected in action..• Using the same approach for projects in distress, I diagnose what behaviors and missing components are present that are mitigating success. • If it is a new project, I conduct premortems and dig deep for clarity of understanding of the challenges ahead. I will question every assumption.Every organization and every project have some unique stress points, but most have similar behaviors that manifest themselves in project and daily performance. I say that for you to understand, that this is not some cookie-cutter approach and diagnosis, but a hands-on, highly practical, experience driven process and analysis that has demonstrated success, as a CIO, and as a project fixer with no authority. And however uncomfortable the findings are, know you will get a straight, unvarnished set of revelations that will allow you to move forward with concrete actions, including personnel changes.
