• Build strategic partnerships with external technical organizations, universities and national labs in order to advance Elementis' technical capabilities, as well as to identify new technologies that could be incorporated into new or existing innovation programs • Work with leadership teams to define long term innovation strategies, prioritize and develop highest benefit, lowest risk projects to drive growth • Lead global technical teams to drive and support sales of existing product lines and identify opportunities for new specialty products through integration of technological leadership, market research and customer relations • Manage the company patent portfolio to maximize benefit and protection • Lead coatings, energy, personal care R&D programs as well as technical service; manages budgets, set priorities and develops personnel

• Strategize with leadership team to define innovative approaches for new technology platforms. • Direct new product development activity in coatings, energy and personal care markets. • Manage the Analytical and R&D departments in the US. • Direct resources to improve quality of R&D programs and time to delivery
