Responsible for guiding the company and its laboratory facilities in the growth of start up to scale up and further.Organized and supervised - together with the project manager - the reconstruction of our current new facility and the corresponding relocation of our company towards that facility. Thereby collaborating with relevant stakeholders during this project and succesfully performed the reconstruction and relocation within time, within scope and within budget. This has lead to a new opportunity for Ncardia to grow further in a modern and well facilitated laboratory environment.Improved the lab safety by giving training to the team, following up on CAPAs, following uo on audits and writing SOPs. Introduced chemical safety cabinets for appropriate storage of reagents, marked designated locations - by using the 5S method - for safety appliances in the laboratories, implemented an appropriate storage system for safety datasheets. This has led to a better understanding of laboratory safety in general and a safer organized laboratory as a whole.

Improved the quality and safety of lab work by trouble shooting, interpersonal interaction and detecting bottle necks in our workflow which lead to 13 well appreciated tutorials and supporting documents with clear instructions for reagents, equipment and procedures. Using life science product and market knowledge for introducing and teaching several new techniques and apparatus to improve the reproducibility and quality of the workflow and also to speed up the results.Monitoring and leading 5 technicians in their supervision of in total 10 labs and general tasks on the department including ordering and stock supply. Encouraging and implementing the improvements that they initiate. Supervising lab regulations regarding all lab personnel.

Contributed in research projects with a team of technicians, PhD students and post-docs resulting in 10 publications printed in top scientific journals including Nature and Cell.Supervising MLI and MLII labs on the department which lead to better understanding and following the guidelines by the personnel.Initiated and performed PCR based mycoplasma tests which improved the quality of the results achieved by cell culture experiments.

According to GMP guidelines and SOP developing adenoviruses in which a requested gene has been inserted for external and internal clients.Improved the used Adeno vectors.
