Anchis is a Joint Venture between InteSpring and Thomas Regout focused on vertical balanced systems. The intellectual property of the Balancebox is placed in Anchis. The Balancebox is now produced and sold by Thomas Regout. As a shareholder I am still involved.The BalanceBox was developed by InteSpring. My tasks for the Balancebox were retrieving (subsidy) funds, product development and building business relations with investors / production companies. After showing the Balancebox on Houtbeurs 2008 (a processing industry trade fair) InteSpring placed the intellectual property into Anchis Technology BV.Product information:The Balancebox is a mechanical system that neturalises gravity for vertical moving applications attached to it, like interactive whiteboards or touchscreen panels. A robust linear bearing and a patented spring system make for example touchscreen panels or interactive whiteboards weightless and very easy to move. The Balancebox offers the possibility to move heavy weights in a feather light way. Added value is offered by the effortless, fast and user friendly movement of your products.

Op het Comenius College geef ik de vakken Digikunde (Tech+), Natuurkunde en WiskundeDigkunde gaat over de huidige wereld die razendsnel verandert onder invloed van nieuwe digitale technologie. Het soort banen is aan het veranderen, nieuwe digitale- en technologische beroepen nemen de plaats in van oude ambachten. Digikunde gaat over deze digitale toekomst! De toekomst vraagt van leerlingen dat ze digitaal geletterd zijn en met nieuwe technologieën kunnen werken. Om te kunnen functioneren in deze maatschappij hebben zij specifieke 21-eeuwse vaardigheden nodig.

Sprinq is a subsidiary of InteSpring Holding. The Spring-Up was developed by InteSpring. I was responsible for the development, purchasing and production of the Spring-Up module (build in component). Right know my business partner Rogier Barents is responsible for Sprinq. As a shareholder I am still involved. Furthermore I help furniture designers (such as Montis) to integrate the Spring-Up module in their chairs.Development activities include managing the Design Team, from a Plan of Approach up to a production ready design, including technical testing and CE certification.Purchasing and production activities include selecting suppliers on cost price, delivery security and repetitive quality. Firstly, I started and housed the production in Bulgaria. In 2014 the production and sales will be housed in Germany (licence agreement for Europe with German market party).Product information:The SpringUp module is a build in component for the furniture (chair) industry. With the Spring-Up thechnology elderly can stand up easily. The SpringUp looks at what the (often physically impaired) user can do rather than can’t do. A positive approach that connects with the current physio- and ergo practices. It works with an innovative spring system.

As researcher my primary activities were further research on spring systems applied in healthcare related products (e.g. an arm support and a vertical movable cupboard). From this period there are a number of publications and patents. Scientific highlight is a Best Paper Award in 2009 (see Honors & Awards).
