With over 30 years in the world of mobile phones, communications and sales have become my key skills. Whether it be working with Alcatel’s award-winning tech team, or liaising with our board, comms makes up my day to day and I love it.In 2021, I was honoured to be awarded with the Mobile Industry Awards' Outstanding Contribution to the Mobile Industry achievement. It's an award I am incredible honoured and humbled to receive. I’ve been responsible for managing Alcatel’s UK P&L since 1998, developing my excellent (if I may say so myself) negotiation skills. Building from a staff of 9 when I started, to 20 direct team in the UK & Ireland, 19 Tech Team and five in Northern Europe, being a natural motivator has been essential and I’ve developed some really strong leadership skills along the way.No matter how far we come though, I still get a thrill from seeing our products on the shelves or being used by someone. Specialties: Communicator - Communicating on a daily basis with customers, senior internal team in EU and China, suppliers, agencies and press.Strategy planning - Form strategic direction and then communicate to involved parties such as our Marketing Agency. Rolled out The People's Champion campaign for Alcatel to cement position as the #1 brand in the UK & Ireland in the entry segment. In 2020, launched TCL Mobile in the UK, utilising a combination of Consumer Proposition, ATL and brand partnerships such as BAFTA and Luna CinemaIdentifying Opportunities - Managing channel strategy and maximising opportunities with 2 brandsPeople Management - Grown team with zero attrition and promoted from within whilst developing peoples' skills

CurrentResponsible for all Alcatel activities in the UK & Ireland, leading a fiercely loyal team of 19.Credited with significantly growing device sales and brand awareness in the UK, steering the brand to its biggest ever year in 2016 which saw Alcatel achieve 10.5% market share and become the number 3 brand in the UK.This fantastic year also saw Alcatel record substantial turnover and profit increases in a declining market as well as major success for our brand-new field marketing team - the Alcatel Tech Team – which has massively helped to uplift in store sales, culminating in the team winning ‘Best Manufacturer Field Team’ at the 2017 Mobile Industry Awards.Now in 2020, the UK has been the number 1 county for Alcatel for 7 years. Within the last three years, we’ve won four years, including for our Tech Team. This year, we also launched TCL’s first smartphone range in the UK, the 10 series. With 3 handsets launched during COVID-19, it’s been an incredible challenge, but there have already been some great highlight, including winning the “One to Watch” award from Mobile Choice, partnerships with BAFTA and England Captain Harry Kane, as well as leading the European market in sales.
