Phase II modernized mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire alarm systems that subsequently upgraded site utility, hardscape, and landscape. A green roof extends NS on Main Building and EW on Pre-K Wing.Key responsibilities: Manage the coordination/processing of subcontractor procurement, RFI’s, submittals, material deliveries, change orders, owner payment applications, and project close out documentation for all MEP, Site Utility, and Interiors trade packages. Manage the coordination of all MEP, FF&E, and Interior Finishes through the BIM coordination process.Key project challenges: Design-Build; fixed budget; compact schedule; accelerated construction; active school.

Howard University - Interdisciplinary Research BuildingHigher Education/Research Lab – $55MM / 81,000 SF new interdisciplinary research building (IRB) including one story below grade, 4 stories above grade, and a 2 story roof level Mechanical penthouse located adjacent to the HU Medical Center campus. The IRB facility includes unique lab spaces, faculty/student offices, conference rooms and a Clean Room to support core/collaborative functions of various research disciplines.Key responsibilities: Managed the coordination/processing of RFI’s, submittals, material deliveries, change orders, owner payment applications, and project close out documentation for all Interior, Exterior Skin Enclosure, and Site Utility trade packages. Managed the BIM coordination process for sign-off on all MEP, lab piping, and lab furniture systems.Key project challenges: Integrated Terra Cotta Tile / Curtainwall / Masonry / Metal Panel Exterior Skin System; Complex Lab MEP and furniture systems; Site Utility tie-in to the existing Central Utility Plant.

Salamander Inn - Resort & SpaHospitality – 230,000 SF 5-star resort and spa with equestrian facilities in Middleburg, VA consisting of 168 guestrooms and public areas. Amenities include a 24,000 SF spa, specialty restaurants, wine bar, conference facilities, and a ballroom. The hotel was built on a 340-acre site that required intensive site work and landscaping. Key responsibilities: Managed the coordination/processing of RFI’s, submittals, material deliveries, and project close out documentation for all MEP, Interiors, Ornamental/Structural Metals, and Site Work trade packages required during Phase II construction. Generated 3D virtual mockups of guestrooms and public spaces for complete millwork and interior finish coordination.Key project challenges: High-end finishes with intensive millwork / stone coordination requirements; Complex site work / landscape / hardscape coordination.

Lead graduate assistant in the Construction Mechanics and Strength of Materials undergraduate courses; headed weekly laboratory sessions, provided office hours to students, assisted in providing course materials, graded homework and laboratory work weekly.
