I design web applications. I have lost count of how many I have developed. I mainly use scripting languages such as PHP, Python, and JavaScript that tie into databases such as MySQL, MongoDb, or SqLite. I spent many years using a heavily customized version of the Qcodo development framework (PHP and MySQL) for rapid prototyping of applications, which I used for to create custom web applications for departments across the University. Many of these applications have been in use for more than a decade.I place special emphasis on optimization of data handling and the keeping the presentation layer as lean as possible.Specialties: I specialize in application migration and customizations with strong experience in Content Management System integration and GUI design. I am an expert in integrations with the Qualtrics (form/survey builder) application to build custom applications that utilize Qualtrics as the primary data collections. For instance, I volunteered to manage the capital assets inventory for our department. I created a Qualtrics survey that tracks every attribute of an asset (e.g. a short description, location, PO, lab contact, model number, images and documents describing the asset, etc.). I then created a web application using the Next.js JavaScript framework with a MongoDb back-end that allows me to report on, search for, and track asset status changes (e.g. an asset moved to a new location, an asset tag is missing, or an asset was sent to surplus) annually to match up with the University-wide assets management system.
