My name is William Paige Carter. I completed my studies at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. I studied in Public Administration, with a concentration in Criminology, and minored in Business Administration. I am currently looking for employment in the field of law enforcement.I was born in Berkeley, CA and raised in Piedmont, CA. I attended Wildwood Elementary, Piedmont Middle School and graduated from Piedmont High School in 2010.When I was younger, I was not the best athlete in our school, nor was I the valedictorian of my graduating class, but I was one of the best Boy Scout in Piedmont. I received the 2009 William R. Peterson Award for outstanding youth leadership. It is given each year to the Scout in Piedmont who has shown the best leadership throughout their work in their troop, with the Piedmont Council, and the city of Piedmont. I earned the Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scouts, the highest rank in Scouting. I am also a member of the Boy Scout Honor Society, the Order of the Arrow. The purpose of the Order of the Arrow is “to recognize those Scouts who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives,” and “crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a purpose of leadership in cheerful service.”While I was studying at the U of A, I worked at the University of Arizona Alumni Association and the UA Foundation as a student worker and was a proud member of the Student Alumni Ambassadors. Over the summer, I helped the SAA with their new student member recruitment. Because of my work, the SAA went from a membership size of 50 members to over 500 members by the start of the 2012 Fall Semester. The Alumni Association saw the potential in me both inside and outside the classroom, and I appreciate their support.People have always said that when anyone needs help, I am one of the first to volunteer. Whether it was helping assemble the Scout tree lot for Christmas or serving on committees for the SAA, I have always been there ready to serve.
