About Wiebe De Boer
I have over 12 years of professional experience in improving the resilience of ports and coasts. After my MSc degree in Civil Engineering & Management at the University of Twente (2009), I work currently as a senior project manager and advisor at the Resilient Ports & Coasts (RPC) department of Deltares, an independent Dutch knowledge institute. Furthermore, I am working as a project developer and coordinator at SmartPort, a knowledge hub in the Port of Rotterdam. In my work I strive to apply new technologies and integrate knowledge from different disciplines to solve both today’s and tomorrow’s challenges with a focus on sustainability and climate change adaptation.
