I recently moved into a HVAC Sales & Service role for Tempest Telecom, the North American distributor of AIRSYS cooling systems. Our WPU product line is primarily focused on the massively growing ICT industries (Data Centers, Telecommunications, & other electronic equipment shelters). I conceived and developed a new handheld TDR soil moisture measurement system.To do this, I condensed recently developed but unused multiple circuit designs into a single new PCB which was fashioned to fit into an IP67 (watertight) COS handheld computer. This new prototype system is fully operational and at last review performed over 800 measurements on a single battery charge, which exceeded all expectations! This new instrument produces a higher level of measurement performance & accuracy and only needs software updates to enable it to replace the current line of TDR systems at a significant cost reduction to the customer.

The goal of the Materials Records Specialist position is to help develop & instill better processes to enable building a projects Final MRB database in near Real-Time (using EPDM & other tools). Developing this process is similar to a lean manufacturing exercise, but instead it’s streamlining the management & sometimes chaotic certification paper trail process. Earning a track record of delivering the MRB documents on time will help Bardex win more contracts, impress the customer, improve profits and eliminate the many filing cabinets worth of future documents because it will all be stored digitally.

Initially with the division’s RF Manufacturing group Assembling & Testing Antennas & Antenna Systems. Joined the divisions’ Factory Test Group to assist with production of Space Components Satellite Solar Panels & Coilable booms.Test Group support work included:Test setups for proof loading of all GSE, Thermal & Vacuum chamber support, creating or updating test procedures, and equipment maintenance and repair.• Co-led a small team to design and implement stability improvements to high volume (8x) Thermal Vacuum system (TVAC), reducing random test failures from 5+ a year to ZERO and reviving customer confidence in company’s testing capabilities. o Specified new vacuum rated Angle sensor, improving resolution by 10:1 and reducing data noise by 80%.Antenna Lab support included:Built, tuned, and tested Dual Polarized and Slotted array antenna systems and high power Waveguide to coax adaptors. Created new and redlined older assembly & test procedures and dramatically improved the performance of the RF anechoic test range.• Performed RF tests, maintained & trained others to use ATK’s Indoor antenna range with Orbit-FR antenna positioner & pattern testing software, cutting test time in half.• Identified bugs in Orbit software and worked with Orbit software group to repair and release updated software, enabling successful batch testing which reduced test times by 75%.

Assisted in completing development cycles of two critical accessories (SNAP & MP3 heads) and the power supply chassis used with their multi-axis Atomic Force Microscope & probing station.• Created/updated test & assembly methods for new products, improving efficiency by 30%.• Updated & validated numerous multilayer circuit boards using Cadence OrCAD tools, saving time and 20% in design labor costs.

Worked for an RF radio design & product maintenance group supporting new and current production RF digital radios sold to the utility metering industry. (Gas Water & Electric). Tested performance of Digital Spread Spectrum & FSK RF messaging techniques.• Tested new designs & updates for two Handheld meter readers & variations of the related meter side Endpoints (Transmitter's), validating design for pre-production.

• Assisted in transitioning a research facility into a world class manufacturing organization.• Worked with several teams to improve Design For Manufacturability, which drove significant cost savings with part-count reductions, and reducing assembly and test times.
