• Lead Front-End engineer on new mobile application written in React Native, leveraging state management with MobX State Tree and Context API. Campanion was developed rapidly, with precise functionality from concept to production in 5 months from November 2018 through May 2019. Pilot program executed summer of 2019 with 23,000 users contributing significantly to corporate revenue and future business models. Current usage has scaled to 100,000+ users seasonally, with continued development of client-facing features and integrations from the core system platform.• Managed new versioning and releases to Apple and Google Play stores.• Implemented unit testing with Jest, and Detox end-to-end testing to ensure timely and functional release cadences and smooth integration into version management. Developed and deployed client-side caching library for GraphQL codebases that provides partial query responses based on search parameters, an option not offered byany competing library including Apollo and Relay.Architected algorithms to normalize GraphQL queries and responses in order for the caching engine to provide partial query responses based on query fields and parameters of data, avoiding unnecessary round-trips to the server.Achieved lower latency on cached query response than leading competitors such as Apollo and Relay through implementation of partial query responses and sub-field responses. Sub-fields are declared by the developer interacting with the library, and the engine subsequently compares query parameters to parameters of cached responses; implementing developer-facing schemas was a sacrifice of automation chosen to allow greater flexibility for cache retrieval, and greater scalability fordata-heavy applications.Optimized caching algorithms to perform partial and subset retrievals with sub-O(n) lookup and retrieval times in order to offer a flexible package to the developer.Developed Node/React/Express application rendering stateful components with live GraphQL API backends to demonstrate cache speed, which consistently outperforms Apollo Client’s cached response delivery time.Deployed demo application pipelined through AWS S3 buckets to EC2 server instances using AWS CodeDeploy.Integrated with Travis CI to improve workflow over product iterations, and ensure safe deployment of code updates and integration of pull requests from fellowdevelopers.
