gro-up is een brede organisatie waarin kraamzorg, kinderopvang, jeugdhulp, buurtwerk en onderwijs integraal samenwerken op het gebied van inhoud methodiek en uitvoering. De afdeling Onderzoek & Ontwikkeling is de stafafdeling van gro-up. De speerpunten van de afdeling zijn kwaliteit, methodiekontwikkeling en visieontwikkeling. Als beleidsmedewerker houd ik mij enerzijds bezig met de ondersteuning van de brede welzijnsopdracht van gro-up buurtwerk in Rotterdam Alexander. Daarnaast neem ik deel aan verschillende werkgroepen, waaronder visieontwikkeling, datagedreven werken en de (door-)ontwikkeling van diverse methodieken voor buurtwerk, bewonersparticipatie en samenlevingsopbouw. Daarnaast word ik regelmatig ingevlogen als facilitator van participatieve en interactieve workshops en meetings. Participatie (binnen teams en organisatie, wijk en buurt en in het sociale domein) is voor mij een belangrijk overkoepelend thema. Binnen gro-up buurtwerk Prins Alexander coördineer ik het team buurtverbinders en de invoering van Right to Cooperate.

In the socio-cultural centre GC de Bosuil I was the team leader of eight staff members and responsible for socio-cultural programming, financial management and multi-year planning

I was also responsible for delivering classroom training and IT-support in the Brussels office. I have been involved in the global roll-out of Windows 10 within the firm and delivered hands-on training and support in Brussels, Amsterdam (NL), Frankfurt, Munich (GER), Dubai (UAE), Al-Khobar and Riyadh (Saudi-Arabia).

I designed part of the training program for the project Leaders - Young Roma in Action (LYRA). As part of the global training team, I created and delivered instructor lead and virtual training to customer service representatives, specialists and managers, including instructional design. I was responsible for New Hire Training and created a T-t-T Customer Training program. As QAS I monitored customer interactions and collected data to provide feedback to the management and to deliver coaching to employees. As Content Specialist I worked on the firm’s Knowledge Base.

My role:• Design, development and co-delivery of two successful long-term training programs on implementing quality standards of social services for eight non-profit organisations.• Design, development and co-delivery of a 2-years NGO capacity building training programme.• Design, management and team leadership of three long-term EU funded training projects.

Romania

Coordination and design of community development work within the two-years project in Romania „Support to the National Strategy to Improve Roma Conditions“ (RO2002/000-586.01.02: EuropeAid/114833/D/SV/RO). This project consisted of a series of training and Train-the-Trainer programmes and community development support at locations with large Roma communities.

I founded and and managed this NGO, aimed at Community Work in Roma communities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. My role(s) within this organisation: Project management (including long-term & financial management; fundraising), organisation of workshops and training seminars, and community-work. Some highlights:- Community work in a Roma settlement in Zehra, East-Slovakia. Using a participatory approach to cooperate with, and empower, the local Roma Community and to establish links and contacts between the Roma community on one side, and the non-Roma majority and local institutions on the other side.- The development of a network of local organisations working with Roma- or mixed Roma/non-Roma communities, to support local development, to increase the level of professionalism within the participating organisations and to support local (pilot-)projects.- Initiating a comprehensive community-development project in Brno, directed to housing of Roma families.

I have written 8 case studies as contribution to an initiative to disseminate research papers focusing on multicultural politics and ethnic relations in Central and Eastern Europe and in states of the former Soviet Union.
