Lead Verge video development across digital and linear platforms. Manage full story process: pitching, reporting, outlining, scripting, story editing, publication. Manage, mentor, and provide creative guidance for a team of producers, directors, & editors. Build and maintain workflows, juggle multiple projects, troubleshoot, and get in the weeds when needed. As leader of The Verge’s science video programming, I built our science strategy from the ground up. Launched the Verge Science series in May 2018 and grew it into an award-winning leader in science video journalism. Earned 1.15 million subscribers at an average of one million views per video. Published 100+ stories over 3 years; specialized in climate, energy, public health, space industry, and materials science. Personally reported and wrote more than 40 stories.More recently, co-produced and launched The Future Of, the Verge’s first TV series on Netflix. Participated in the writers room to ideate and develop all 12 episodes; served as story editor, interim exec producer, and interim showrunner over course of production.
