Lead Verge video development across digital and linear platforms. Manage full story process: pitching, reporting, outlining, scripting, story editing, publication. Manage, mentor, and provide creative guidance for a team of producers, directors, & editors. Build and maintain workflows, juggle multiple projects, troubleshoot, and get in the weeds when needed. As leader of The Verge’s science video programming, I built our science strategy from the ground up. Launched the Verge Science series in May 2018 and grew it into an award-winning leader in science video journalism. Earned 1.15 million subscribers at an average of one million views per video. Published 100+ stories over 3 years; specialized in climate, energy, public health, space industry, and materials science. Personally reported and wrote more than 40 stories.More recently, co-produced and launched The Future Of, the Verge’s first TV series on Netflix. Participated in the writers room to ideate and develop all 12 episodes; served as story editor, interim exec producer, and interim showrunner over course of production. As a freelance writer, producer, and editor, I specialized in documentaries, advocacy campaigns, and multimedia projects for nonprofit and governmental clients. Projects included: a VR documentary for the UN's High Commissioner for Refugees; a short video series for KQED (the Bay Area's PBS affiliate) highlighting the work of student activists; and a feature documentary following a Mexican-American band as they embarked on a tour and cultural exchange in Cuba.Other clients included: Atlantic Magazine, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, Vox Media, Google.

Head writer and series producer for all in-house productions. Co-led new series development & launch/growth strategy. Led production design, graphics packages, sound design for new series. Co-created and launched nine new digital series for Discovery; owned piloting and pass-off to show teams. Launched longform video podcast channel, Dnews+, which became the fastest channel at Discovery to reach 500K subscribers. Co-created the daily TestTube News series that became a current events leader on YouTube. I also helped lead our documentary film program, and built a network of diverse directors and producers around the world. I wrote and evaluated creative briefs for short films, vetted freelance partners, and remotely managed production/post/delivery of stories. Most of my tenure at Link TV was dedicated to a multi-year media campaign funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to highlight stories of progress toward the UN's Millennium Development Goals (now the SDGs). As part of that campaign I co-produced an original TV series, curated a global online film festival, helped host in-person events, and produced numerous other pieces of collateral across many platforms. I worked with filmmakers and other partners around the world to identify and tell stories about access to education, gender equality, maternal health, environmental sustainability, and more. Link TV's "ViewChange" project remains one of the channel's most successful campaigns in the mobilization of its audience towards measurable advocacy goals.

This included product launch videos, profiles, educational programming, and more for some of Google's flagship products and initiatives.
