Represented indigent clients charged with criminal offenses in Syracuse City Court. Conducted fact investigations and interviewed witnesses; drafted discovery demands and motions; negotiated plea agreements, argued motions to dismiss, and participated in pretrial conferences and hearings.

Maintained the direction and professional operation of a traditional law review and daily news reporting website. Organized a prestigious spring symposium, "Sexual Violence as a Weapon of War and Crime Against Humanity", along with other events focused on education about impunity issues.

Elected to the Board at the chapter’s annual meeting. Worked with other Board Members and the Chapter Director to fulfill the mission of the NYCLU and accomplish the goals of the chapter.

Worked with teams of lawyers on various legal issues, doing legal and factual research and writing on active cases. Attended seminars with prominent litigators and activists and participate in weekly discussions with scholars, activists, and clients on subjects such as human rights, racial and economic justice, government misconduct, and corporate accountability.

Wrote the primary draft of the Human Rights Council’s Annual Report to the UN General Assembly. During the Council’s 14th session, assisted in writing the session report, drafted notes during side events, and assisted web and other support services. Co-wrote the Statistical Report of the 14th session of the Council, and helped prepare a presentation on the report for an HRC Branch meeting. Assisted in writing the UN compilations report for the Universal Periodic Review of Lebanon. Prepared information and took notes during the 5th session of the Advisory Committee, notably a thematic note on “Missing Persons.”

Responsible for event and campaign coordination between the campaign committee, the executive director, and local, regional, and national organizations. Conducted issue-area research, created campaign and event material—including brochures and programs, and created and maintained the campaign webpage. Worked in a small office environment, reporting directly to the executive director.
