At Davey Resource Group, we were contracted by Pacific Gas and Electric to complete all vegetation management work as it related to the public utilities in the area. My role in this operation was to assess the current and future proximity of vegetation to high voltage power lines and prescribe proper tree work as necessary to prevent a fire or power outage from occuring. I also met with customers to discuss fuel reduction options and create legal work contract orders that allowed our trees crews to enter private property.

Worked with the Beaver Ponds Environmental Education Center to gather data on the health of the Sacramento Creek Watershed in Central Colorado. This information was used to develop a baseline water quality profile for the area, where future mining and housing development projects were scheduled to take place. By obtaining this information the BPEEC could return in subsequent years to perform similar tests, using any severe changes to prevent further damage from taking place to the watershed. This information was also synthesized into reports distributed to the local community, as well as the Colorado Riverwatch Project.
