Leading and managing a diverse team that is committed to raising aspiration, enhancing the student experience at the university, and improving access to jobs and graduate employment by placing social innovation and social enterprise at the core of how we operate. This requires business and resource planning, budgeting, leadership, people management, and service redesign skills. Marketing, employer engagement, and understanding of how to work with communitieses and the ability to engage the social enterprise sector with the university. My work in the social enterprise sector enables me to explore new ways to enhance our graduates employability through new and socially innovative opportunities. Specific initiatives and areas of responsibility:-Higher Education Schools Engagement, supporting primary and secondary schools with a range of services that create pathways to university and work through activities that raise aspiration and encourage young people to be the best they can be. Delivering the Northamptonshire Children's University, which rewards young people ages 8 -14 undertaking extra curricular activitiesDelivering aspects of the university's fair access agreement.Maintaining the University's excellent record in employability and drive up levels of graduate employment.Support academic colleagues by enhancing student learning through provision of high quality extra curricular opportunities that develop key employability skills and reinforce learning outcomes.Employer and community engagement with the university to open up opportunities that create value by addressing business and community needs. Social enterprise and social innovation remain core to what I do and how I work, and are central in defining how we enhance opportunities to all out stakeholders. I'm one of 2 AshokaU Change leaders at the university; defining and delivering elements of the University's Changemaker Campus programme, supporting both staff and students. .
