Program Director, Complete Health Improvement Program (Chip), Alhambra ChapterAdventist Chip Feb 2008 - Nov 2011The Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP), is a community-based 4-week lifestyle education program designed to help people prevent and reverse today's leading western diseases such as heart disease, T2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure/hypertension, and more. Directed 4 programs, reaching ~100 participants. Coordinate support of more than 25 volunteers. Successfully passed off the baton to a new leader and mentored him into the new position. Supported the SoCal Conference as well as health ministry leaders and pastors from 7 other churches in establishing CHIP programs in the Southern California area. From the first program alone we helped: 3 participants reduce/eliminate dependance on Blood Pressure meds, 3 participants reduced/eliminated dependance on cholesterol meds while another saw a drop in cholesterol ratio of 34% and several saw drops in total and LDL of 10-20%, 3 participants saw improvements in blood sugars and 2 eliminated diabetes medications mid-way through, and all participants found they can now be healthy by choice, not by chance! These results were consistent across all subsequent programs.
