NASM- Certified Personal TrainerI am a movement and outdoor enthusiast with a passion for helping people to feel better today so they can keep moving better tomorrow! After working in the corporate gym world for five years in a variety of roles I found my passion for Personal Training. The big gym world offered me mentors, education, and the ability to explore all different kinds of fitness and movement. My training philosophy is focused on strength in functional movement; fixing what needs to be fixed to allow for growth. I spent a year training a family privately, focusing on an elderly client suffering from Early-Onset Alzheimer's disease. While his mind was failing his body remained strong and the muscle memory intact; this was an incredible experience where I got to see the day by day benefits that fitness can have on the mind-body connection. I am a huge believer that fitness is a key component to mental health, recovery from trauma or grief, and a bridge between our emotions and our physical health. Once my client with Alzheimer's needed the next level of care I decided to return to New York to grow my business so that I could help more people. I am interested in partnering with other fitness professionals of all disciplines and meeting motivated new clients to pursue their fitness goals. I specialize in strength, conditioning, geriatric, pre/post-natal, functional movement, and partnering with people in physical therapy.
