I have a commitment to creative place making that foster human activity and movement, which is reflected in my designs and integrative thinking. I am passionate about Multimodal Transportation, Light Rail Transit, Mixed Use development, Low Impact Development, and land reclamation. My work has included right of way analysis and land use planning for the Rainier Valley light rail link Seattle, Shoreline's Multimodal Corridor (Highway 99), Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium (Tacoma), and Chambers Creek Properties public park and golf course (City of University Place, Pierce County, WA).Affordable and infill housing are important pieces of my career. Urban Design Planner | Multimodial Corridor Planning | Waterfront Planning | Community OutreachCity Of New Westminster Sep 1998 - Aug 1999New Westminster, Bc, CaI worked as an urban design planner for a small city east of Vancouver, BC on the banks of the Fraser River. I collaborated with planners from the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) on regional trails master plans as they passed through the City of New Westminster, along rail road rights of way and a working waterfront, with properties the city wanted to purchase. I participated in design reviews and transportation corridor meetings with designers of the new Millennium elevated rail line connecting Burnaby BC with Coquitlam and participated in community presentations of the impacts that line had on local neighborhoods. This work resulted in a new linear foreshore park built by the provincial government in exchange for using their right of way which was used as a riverfront trail by citizens.
