Since the closing of Aesthetic Surgery Center of Waco, I am currently general counsel for three companies where I practice in Business and Corporate law with a focus on government compliance, drafting complex government contracts, and business consulting work.

I draft HIPAA compliance policies and procedure manuals for the medical practice, negotiate and draft business association agreements in compliance with both HIPAA and HITECH Acts, manage the practice's complaint process, provide legal consultation for patient privacy related decisions, business management, and general legal advice.

I met with clients, and assisted Mrs. Ford with case files, notes, and court matters. I also conducted client intakes, phone calls, and organized plea papers, legal research, and delivered documents to the prosecutor's office. Client interaction is incredibly important to the practice of law, and I aspire to assure that the client is served to the best of my ability. I have also handled pretrial hearings, as well as voir dire proceedings for a misdemeanor trial.

As the Justice of the Casey Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International, I shall serve as the chief executive and administrative officer of the chapter. I shall preside at all meetings of the chapter, and decide all questions of law and order in the chapter. I shall be the principal ritualistic officer, and shall cause the ritual of the Fraternal Order to be properly exemplified at all appropriate occasions. I shall further ensure that all other chapter officers perform the duties of their respective offices, and shall be responsible for the welfare and dignity of Casey Chapter during my term of office.

The Executive Board position of the Casey Chapter Secretary was a unique and temporary one. The office was established to help in the transitional process of moving Casey Chapter from Ann Arbor Michigan to Naples Florida, when Ave Maria School of Law made its historic move from the state of Michigan to the State of Florida. Consequently, the responsibilities expected of the Executive Board were much greater than they had been previously. Thus the prior Executive Board decided to establish the Office of Secretary to assist in the transitional, interim period in order to assure a successful transfer of the chapter.

During the summer of 2009 I served as a legal clerk for Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee, in Waco Texas. While serving in this position I conducted research in various fields of law, and also witnessed meditations, attorney meetings in a joint medical malpractice defense case, and depositions, as well as one trial that occurred during my time spent with the firm.

I was a personal assistant to Professor Terry Newton at Saint Edward's University. Part of my duties included: assisting with cameras for historical interviews; helping edit and maintain the media from such interviews; and network support for the inter-office computers. During this time I also helped educate students on how to use the equipment, and how to conduct a proper interview. I also conducted research for Professor Newton, and filmed his lectures for his "American Experience" class, which were later transcribed compiling the class's new text book.
