I worked at eDirectory since its conception in 1997, employee #2, prior to that I worked on the Software Directory magazine, a magazine dedicated to Consumer Software, such as leisure, educational and games for the everyday user, the magazine doubled as a mail order catalogue.In 1997 we decided to put the magazine online and sell software online. From there we added other retailers and products, all using a single shopping basket. At this time we have just over 1,000 merchants live on eDirectory. And was Europe's largest online shopping mall.Co-founding the eDirectory site and conceptAt the same time we also resold the software that powers eDirectory to individual retailers to power their own webshop business - this is the area of the business that I mostly worked on, with over 12 years of ecommerce experience I was often called upon by clients for ecommerce advice.I also managed physical three sites from a facilities point of view, including telecoms, utilities and day to day office management, as well as any purchasing the group made.eDirectory has been rebranded Fruggo.
