The first product for Hive in the US was launched at the beginning of September 2016 and my three year experience happily ended two weeks later.In all, from selling the Bounce business into Direct Energy to the last day with the company, I was responsible for a successful overhaul of the Digital experience for residential customers across 5+ brands, and the underlying platform integrations, and launching over 30 pilots with the Innovation (now Connected Home) team, bringing 10 of those programs to scale for the 3+million residential customer business in North America.

Joined Direct Energy to lead strategy in the online customer experience and to drive rapid growth in online sales for the residential arm of the Direct Energy business. Opportunity presented via the successful sale of Bounce Energy to Direct Energy in the summer of 2013.Responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Bounce digital app suite into the Direct Energy infrastructure.Responsible for significant expansion of online DE digital sales growth, incorporation of best practices into the digital buying experience, and transition of general Bounce business into the DE Digital department.

Newly founded deregulated energy organization, planning to be operational as an REP in Texas by Q4 2008.

Managed the design, incorporation and build out of a retail energy start-up from scratch. Responsible for the build out of all aspects of the business due to true start-up nature, beginning from a kitchen table. Accountable for the hiring and management of executive team, raising capital (raised roughly $10 million by time of successful exit), organizational design, internally constructed billing platform build-out and design, internally constructed e-commerce platform design and build-out, strategic financial, banking, and investment partnerships. Led vision, strategy and tactical deployment of 5 year plan that included beach head for service launch, market expansion, segment targets and campaigns, and ultimate exit culminating in signing of LOI 3 days before 5 year founding anniversary. At point of exit, Bounce was in 3 deregulated states, at a run rate of roughly $150million in revenue, and profitable, employing directly and indirectly nearly 200 people from a starting point of zero.
