The Ontario Tumour Bank (OTB) is a province-wide biorepository and data bank focused on collection of tumour-related human biospecimens. It provides academic and industry cancer researchers with a diverse selection of high quality samples annotated with comprehensive de-identified clinical data. The OTB is a part of the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis and treatment by conducting and enabling translational cancer research, benefitting the people of Ontario, Canada and the world at large.As OTB's Senior Client Coordinator, I manage the logistics for all of our client research projects, helping academic and industry investigators from around the world to safely and efficiently obtain the samples they need in order to conduct their life-changing research. I support them through the entire sample acquisition process, from initial study setup through contract negotiations, sample processing and shipping, engaging in consistent communication throughout and ensuring all clients remain satisfied every step of the way. I also conduct regular business development activities to bring on new clients, establish new collaborations and partnerships, and expand awareness of our products and services.
